We are a reputable furniture restoration company seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for restoring and reupholstering furniture to its original glory.

• Customer Consultation: Discuss upholstery fabric, colour and style with customers to ensure their vision is met.
• Cost Estimation: Provide accurate cost estimates for upholstering furniture or other items.
• Upholstery and Repair: Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts, and lay out, cut, fabricate and install new upholstery.
• Finishing Touches: Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons to add a professional finish.
• Furniture Restoration: Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to restore their original beauty.
• Operational Efficiency: Operate sewing machines or sew by hand to ensure efficient production.

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in furniture upholstery and repair.
• Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, and ability to distinguish between colours.
• Work Environment: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• Work Term: Permanent position.
• Work Language: English.
• Hours: 40 hours per week.
