Compensation Details: $17 - $22 per hour

Position Overview

The Electro-Mechanical Inspector is tasked with the assembly and inspection of components within EnerSys' product range, adhering to the manufacturing protocols. This role involves executing assembly tasks in accordance with technical drawings, internal standards, and recommended workmanship practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and inspect units in line with work instructions, schematics, and drawings.
  • Perform crimping on wires while adhering to established wiring procedures.
  • Construct and interconnect final assemblies and sub-assemblies based on production documentation.
  • Procure parts and supplies following the correct protocols.
  • Complete necessary documentation and undertake tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Capability to lift 40-50 lbs (with assistance).
  • Experience in quality inspection.
  • Familiarity with proper soldering techniques.
  • Experience in crimping lugs on wires.
  • Ability to follow wiring protocols.
  • Proficient in recognizing wire types and gauges.
  • Skilled in safely operating small hand and power tools.
  • Ability to engage in all phases of assembly.

Skills Required

  • Proficient in identifying hardware types, lengths, and sizes.
  • Safe operation of small hand and power tools.
  • Adherence to safe lifting practices.
  • Ability to recognize wire types and gauges.
  • Competence in all phases of assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret travelers and schedules.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to construct and interconnect final assemblies and sub-assemblies using production drawings.
  • Ability to follow wiring procedures.
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control and workmanship standards.
  • Accurate following of verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
