Bartender - Mixology Expert

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at The Drake, a leading hospitality brand. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences through expert mixology and exceptional service.

• Guest Experience: Create a world-class guest experience through interactions and following Drake's steps of service.
• Mixology: Mix and serve drinks following set standard recipes, showcasing your knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits.
• Bar Operations: Oversee the overall operation of the bar, including POS, setup, teardown, mise en place, and inventory management.
• Cleanliness and Appearance: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar, equipment, and supplies.
• Knowledge and Training: Uphold complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, and provide training and coaching to barbacks as needed.
• Inventory and Side Work: Count and take inventory of all beverages and supplies, complete opening, closing, and side duties efficiently, and perform assigned side work.
• Flexibility and Teamwork: Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, and demonstrate a team-driven approach with extreme guest focus.

• Experience: At least 3 years of bartending experience in a similar high-volume cocktail-driven environment, including a full-service wood and service bar.
• Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, passion for food and beverage, and ability to contribute to The Drake's in-house cocktail program.
• Teamwork and Guest Focus: Team-driven with extreme guest focus, able to manage a volume of guests alone or with shared support, and experience with private and corporate events.
• Certifications and Education: Smart Serve Certification is a requirement, and a degree or diploma in Hospitality, WSET, Prud'homme, or equivalent is considered an asset.
• Availability: Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays (minimum of 3 shifts/week).
