Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations
    • Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
    • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with colleagues.
  • Logistics Coordination
    • Coordinate with dispatchers to receive and relay information, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Perform emergency roadside repairs and pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle integrity.
  • Certifications and Compliance
    • Hold a valid AZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
    • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption.
    • Prepare and submit reports on maintenance and repair activities, trip reports, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 hours per week
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 30-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
