We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our dynamic IT Operations Team. This role is essential in ensuring the effective delivery of IT solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Oracle RDBMS software to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee RDBMS patch management to maintain system integrity.
- Manage production Oracle environments, including high availability solutions such as RAC and Data Guard.
- Create and maintain scheduled RDBMS jobs to support operational efficiency.
- Implement and uphold defined security models and database audit policies.
- Provide second-line technical support for database-related challenges.
- Develop and monitor RMAN backup and recovery strategies.
- Define and enforce database standards and change control processes.
- Collaborate with application development teams to provide technical support.
- Participate as a database specialist in cross-departmental project teams.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in database administration, with at least 2 years in Oracle environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to provide on-call support as needed.
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL/MariaDB is advantageous, along with a readiness to learn these platforms.
