Job Title: Small Animal Veterinarian

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Small Animal Veterinarian to join our team at Nelson Animal Hospital.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to our patients, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions in small animals through physical examinations and laboratory tests
  • Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed
  • Provide preventative care, including vaccinations and health checks
  • Advise clients on animal care and health
  • Supervise and train veterinary technicians and assistants
Requirements:
  • Degree in veterinary medicine or equivalent
  • Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Certification
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
