Heavy Vehicle Operator

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Trillium Recycling Inc. as a key member of our transportation operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials, while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, and other navigation devices.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and maintain open communication with colleagues and management.
- Certifications and Licenses: Possess an AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
- Personal Qualities: Demonstrate teamwork and professionalism in customer service.
- Work Environment: Work a regular 30-44 hour workweek in a fast-paced transportation environment.
