Job Title: Credit Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Administrator to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a Credit Administrator, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing customer credit applications, ensuring the timely collection of payments, and maintaining healthy relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate new customer credit applications and determine creditworthiness
  2. Establish and manage credit limits for customers in collaboration with Profit Centre Managers and Credit Manager
  3. Monitor and collect payments from customers, addressing any issues or disputes that may arise
  4. Partner with the sales team to develop strategies for managing high-risk accounts
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of customer credit information
  6. Investigate and resolve customer disputes in a timely and professional manner
  7. Submit documentation for delinquent accounts for third-party collections, bad debt reserves, and write-offs
  8. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  2. 3+ years of commercial credit and collections experience, or equivalent combination of work and educational experience
  3. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
