Responsibilities:
  • Lead groups on hiking trips, providing expert guidance and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Assemble and prepare camping gear and supplies, ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Prepare meals and snacks for groups, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Operate communication devices, including emergency equipment, to stay connected with team members and respond to any situations that may arise.
  • Set up and take down camps, ensuring a comfortable and secure environment for groups.
  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure accurate route planning and execution.
  • Provide outdoor, wilderness, and wildlife instruction, sharing your knowledge and expertise with groups.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Wilderness First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods and regularly
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
