Mathematics Facilitator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mathematics Facilitator to join our team at the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board. As a Mathematics Facilitator, you will play a key role in supporting teachers in the planning and delivery of exemplary Mathematics programs.
Key Responsibilities- Support classroom teachers to implement effective instructional practices and assessment and evaluation practices, particularly in the area of Numeracy.
- Facilitate opportunities for staff development through school and system level professional learning.
- Have a strong facility with Board/Ministry Math Resources.
- Assist with the implementation of Learning Support Services objectives.
- Facilitate collegial professional learning as a co-learner.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Learning/Mathematics.
- Mathematics Part 1 AQ or Intermediate/Senior Mathematics.
- Religious Education Part 1.
- Math Specialist preferred.
- Special Education Part 1 preferred.
- School-based or system-based leadership experience.
- Continued desire and effort to develop and foster in staff and students a Christian community based on the Catholic Faith.
- Strong experience and theoretical knowledge in instruction and assessment in Mathematics.
- Understand the principles of adult learning, collaboration, facilitation and effective presentations.
- Demonstrated classroom excellence as indicated through performance appraisals.
- Superior presentation skills, well organized but with the ability to adjust to changing environments as they unfold.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver's Licence and use of personal vehicle (willingness and capability to travel throughout the Board's jurisdiction and beyond).
