Project Overview

The Woodfibre LNG Project is located near Squamish, British Columbia. This significant project involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the former site of the Woodfibre pulp mill. The facility will have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and will produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.

Position: Document Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with legal and contractual environmental requirements for the project while contributing to Woodfibre LNG's commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project-related data and documentation (documents and drawings) within our electronic Document Management System, ensuring accurate processing for project execution and closeout.
  • Assist with the regular archiving of contractor's Document Management Systems through bulk-loading processes.
  • Process company, contractor, and supplier documents and drawings in a timely manner.
  • Handle the transmission of company review comments to contractors and suppliers effectively.
  • Adhere to transmittal requirements based on our established Distribution Matrix.
  • Interact with various Document Management System databases (company and contractor) and shared Document Control Inbox.
  • Contribute to the creation of weekly and monthly document management status reports.
  • Assign document numbers and metadata according to our company's document numbering scheme and codes.
  • Ensure compliance with required document numbering, revisions, status, format, title, etc., by the company, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Process project data books for final handover to Operations.
  • Support the Document Control Manager and Quality Manager in executing periodic audits.
  • Adhere to our company's Document Management Plan.

Requirements:

  • University or College Diploma, Records Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project document control experience on a significant capital EPC project preferred.
  • Knowledge of document management systems; with strong preference to Aconex.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in an integrated team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
