Your role and contributions:
- Oversee a team of salaried and unionized methods personnel supporting production operations
- Ensure the completion of Functional Test Procedural instructions for production, guaranteeing comprehensive system testing
- Incorporate manufacturing requirements and objectives through an efficient First Article Inspection process to ensure compliance with design changes
- Collaborate with the Change Management team, providing project schedules, resource allocation, and tooling/process definitions to facilitate effective change implementation in manufacturing
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate team members
- Ensure all team members comprehend their roles and contributions towards achieving the Operations Unit objectives
- Engage in Achieving Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Utilize BOE tools to promote best practices in deliverables and identify improvement opportunities, including those from new multi-functional teams
- Ensure full integration of the team into the Global Aircraft platform, fostering a unified approach
- Guarantee the availability of appropriate resources to meet projected workload demands while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule
Essential skills, knowledge, and experience:
- A post-secondary degree and/or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Bombardier Aerospace environment (Engineering/Methods/Quality), with a strong technical background preferred
- Experience in supervising a team; preference may be given to candidates with experience managing technical teams or supervising unionized personnel, as well as those with cross-functional expertise
- In-depth technical knowledge of the Bombardier Manufacturing System, Bombardier Engineering System, and Aircraft Systems; MRB experience is an asset
- A customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
- A positive approach to challenges, setting a constructive example for the organization
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, results-driven, and innovative mindset focused on continuous improvement, demonstrating ethics, sound judgment, and professionalism
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
