Position Overview

The Product Solutions Expert serves as a vital technical resource for the sales team within the market. This role encompasses support for all Axalta offerings across various segments, including Premium, Mainstream, and Economy, with the aim of fostering growth and enhancing customer loyalty. The Product Solutions Expert collaborates closely with the market sales team to drive sales growth and elevate customer satisfaction. This position is remote-based in Alberta, covering Northern Alberta, and entails travel requirements of approximately 45-55%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, trains, and supports distributor personnel to address the needs of collision shop clients, particularly focusing on new product introductions, technical assistance, training opportunities, and value-added initiatives.
  • Maintains expertise in all Axalta brands, technologies, and processes to facilitate new customer installations, train and certify painters, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Organizes educational events such as refinisher meetings, lunch and learns, WOW sessions, and counter clinics to guide clients in optimizing paint and material system performance and profitability.
  • Exemplifies safety awareness consistently, emphasizing the safe application of products and the use of personal protective equipment, serving as a role model for clients.
  • Functions as a proactive team player, actively seeking opportunities to support market initiatives; collaborates effectively with the team and contributes innovative ideas during market discussions.
  • Engages in ongoing training and assessments for all Axalta brands and technologies, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
  • Utilizes Axalta's paint and material account management tools to support key accounts and reinforce the technical support network with shop personnel.
  • Manages overall selling expenses within the designated budget.
  • Stays informed about industry trends and association activities.
  • Promotes teamwork with peers and other resources to meet customer needs and document progress.
  • Maintains a flexible schedule and demonstrates a willingness to travel.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including e-mail, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Acts with a strong sense of urgency and effectively prioritizes tasks.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of body shop operations and application equipment.
  • Demonstrates effective written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving, time management, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as a contributing member of a high-performance sales team.
  • Capable of selling, influencing, and negotiating with clients.
