Job Title: Hairstylist

We are seeking a skilled and creative Hairstylist to join our team at First Choice Haircutters.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional hair cutting and styling services to our clients. This includes cutting and trimming hair according to client instructions, shampooing, shaving and trimming beards and mustaches, and providing other hair treatments such as waving, straightening and tinting.

Responsibilities:
  • Book appointments and manage client schedules
  • Cut and trim hair according to client instructions or preferences
  • Shampoo customers' hair
  • Shave and trim beards and mustaches
  • Provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening and tinting
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
  • Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
  • Suggest hair styles compatible with client's physical features and preferences
  • Perform receptionist duties
Requirements:
  • Hairstylist Licence
  • Experience in hair styling techniques, including blow drying, iron waving/curling, permanents and roller setting
  • Knowledge of hair colouring techniques, including bleach, dyes/tints, frosting and streaking/highlights
