Job Title: Calibration Technician

We are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to join our team at RBR Ltd. in a permanent position.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. They will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints and instructions to plan methods and sequences of operation
  • Maintain and repair equipment
  • Service and calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
  • Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, and reports
  • Write specifications and assist in inspecting and testing electronic components
  • Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data
  • Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
  • Complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports
  • Supervise laboratory activities
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • Complete test and maintenance reports
  • Calibrate components and instruments
  • Apply chemicals
  • Check, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance to equipment
  • Operate, monitor, maintain, calibrate, and test equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Interpret conductivity meters and visual indicators
Requirements
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Experience in instrumentation and calibration
  • Knowledge of data analysis software and MS Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
