Summary/Objective: The role involves monitoring and assessing drug profitability across various departments within the Clinic. The goal is to ensure financial performance is maximized while fulfilling the requirements of healthcare providers and their patients. The position may also entail conducting audits and evaluations of other operational areas as necessary.

Essential Functions

Oversees the inventory and consumption of pharmaceuticals in departments such as the Cancer Center and Nurse Run Clinic. Analyzes drug profitability on a quarterly basis, evaluates financial performance against budgetary expectations and historical data, and collaborates with key stakeholders, including Purchasing, Patient Financial Services, and Contracting, to achieve targeted results. This analysis includes compiling quarterly trends in reimbursement by payer in relation to costs. Maintains a dashboard of essential financial metrics and generates informative reports for the aforementioned functions. Conducts quarterly financial meetings with key stakeholders, including oncologists and the Clinical Director overseeing Chemotherapy. Communicates effectively, logically, and succinctly in various contexts, including individual discussions, formal presentations, and written correspondence. Suggests process improvements as necessary. Gains access to the Clinic's LYNX system to monitor inventory levels and changes in inventory balances from quarter to quarter. Understands contracts and associated volumes to reconcile anticipated rebates with actual rebate receipts. Coordinates quarterly inventory assessments of the Clinic's LYNX system for both the Cancer Center and Nurse Run Clinics in collaboration with the Facilities Department.
