Job Title: Snowplough Operator

We are seeking a skilled Snowplough Operator to join our team at Emcon Services Inc. as a Highway Maintenance Specialist.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating snowploughs and other heavy equipment to maintain safe road conditions during winter months. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate snowploughs and other heavy equipment to clear snow and ice from highways and roads.
  • Check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
  • Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge in snowplough operation and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles).
  • DZ class license and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
