About the Role

We are seeking a Software Developer to join our Data Analytics team within the Fleet Software Group. This team is tasked with harnessing the vast amounts of data generated by our robots and fleet management systems. The insights derived from this data are essential for product development and organizational improvement. The role encompasses the entire product lifecycle, including gathering customer insights, defining problems, proposing solutions, designing applications, developing software, and providing ongoing support.

The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise and enthusiasm to help shape, implement, and deliver the next generation of analytics products at Clearpath Robotics.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop custom analytics software for data collection, transformation, and utilization from our robots and fleet management systems.
  2. Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
  3. Enhance and innovate our data visualization tools.
  4. Maintain and improve existing data pipelines, tools, and testing frameworks.
  5. Document system architectures and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  6. Participate in and lead code and design reviews.
  7. Troubleshoot analytics tools to assist both customer-facing and internal teams.
  8. Collaborate with technical and non-technical users to understand and address their data requirements.
  9. Develop secure, scalable web applications for analytics data visualization.
  10. Prototype new analytical applications and tools.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of Software Development experience in an enterprise setting.
  2. Strong proficiency in Python programming.
  3. Experience with Linux/Ubuntu environments and scripting (Bash).
  4. Familiarity with software development involving data persistence layers and ORM libraries (e.g., Django, SQLAlchemy).
  5. Ability to independently create software development plans, including timelines and testing procedures.
  6. Proven experience in rigorous software testing and familiarity with continuous integration systems.
  7. Experience working collaboratively, sharing knowledge through diagrams, discussions, and examples.
  8. Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Technical leadership experience.
  2. Background in data engineering.
  3. Experience with ROS software development.
  4. Familiarity with ROS data visualization tools.
  5. Experience with source control management systems.
  6. Ability to design applications for scalability.
  7. Experience with container frameworks.
Additional Assets:
  1. Experience in data science.
  2. Remote software development experience.
  3. Front-end development skills (JavaScript, NodeJS, ReactJS).
  4. Experience with data visualization tools.
