We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our Canada team, covering the Eastern Canada territory, including Montreal and Quebec. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical sales support and influencing, technical management of accounts, and serving as a trusted advisor to customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide pre-sales engineering network design, radio frequency planning, bill of material creation, sales opportunity engagement, and technical training to customers and partners.
- Develop and drive territory account plans based on industry trends and business economics.
- Have a working knowledge of RUCKUS Networks wireless, wired, and software solutions.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, differentiating and competitively positioning RUCKUS solutions.
- Assist Territory and/or Partner Account Managers in driving revenue and selling solutions to achieve quota goals.
- Proficient understanding of pre-sales engineering, technical sales processes, and critical account management.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions to various audiences, including executive-level decision makers.
- 5+ years of experience working with Wi-Fi and switching vendor solutions (Ruckus, Brocade, Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Aerohive, Xirrus, Extreme, Dell, etc.).
- Strong ability to support and manage complex technical problem-solving.
- Highly effective technical presentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of networking technical skills, including Wi-Fi technology evolution releases, wireless network optimization, IP routing and switching, WAN/LAN design, setup, and configuration, Layer 4-7 application services, security authentication methods, and products.
- General knowledge of cloud services, VLAN, security, VoIP, QoS wired/wireless, BYOD/MDM, P2P, mesh, wireless controller architectures, Wi-Fi protocols, RF design, indoor and outdoor wireless deployments, packet capture/analysis tools, and WLAN security.
- Working knowledge of Wi-Fi design tools such as Ekahau, Hamina, Air Magnet, etc.
- Reside in the Montreal region.
- Able to travel 50%.
- Proficient in both English and French languages.
- Bachelor or master's degree in electrical engineering, Networking Engineering, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
- Professional or associate-level networking industry certification such as CCNA, BPIPA, JNCIA, Cisco, Aruba, RUCKUS, CWNA, etc.
