Role Summary:
The clinical pharmacist is tasked with ensuring the precise and safe dispensing of all prescriptions while delivering pharmaceutical care that guarantees the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for residents.
Daily Responsibilities:
Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure accurate, safe, timely, and complete dispensing of medication orders. Execute daily responsibilities in line with established workplace policies and procedures. Consult with pharmacy management regarding unresolved issues related to daily operations. Provide exceptional service to CareRx pharmacy patients. Maintain professional communication with all members of the resident care team, adhering to corporate policies to uphold the highest standards of customer care and pharmacy service quality. Ensure accurate, organized, and complete resident health records, maintaining appropriate documentation and continuity of care. Conduct thorough medication regimen/profile reviews, documenting recommendations accordingly. Adhere to all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing pharmacy practice. Comply with all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures. Assist in the management and monitoring of pharmacy inventory. Participate in training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members as needed. Engage in ongoing continuing education to stay current with pharmaceutical, medical, and professional licensing information, as well as corporate updates, policies, and standards. Prepare and compound medications as required. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Qualifications:
Must be insured and currently licensed in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A). Proven ability to build strong partnerships with other healthcare team members. Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills. High proficiency in both written and spoken English. Familiarity with Kroll Windows application. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of varying professional expertise. Highly organized with strong time management capabilities. Skilled in critical thinking and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively. Demonstrated initiative and creativity. Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision, and able to work independently. Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality. Strong listening skills and adaptability to changes in the work environment. Dependable and responsible in executing job duties. Previous experience in retail pharmacy is advantageous. Strong teaching abilities.Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Experience in long-term care pharmacy is a plus.Application Process
