Educational Requirements- Completion of secondary school is mandatory.
- Maintain comprehensive records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Analyze operational expenses and relevant data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Develop innovative recipes to enhance the menu offerings.
- Guide and instruct kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, garnishing, and presentation.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty dishes for various events, including banquets.
- Supervise and mentor cooks and other kitchen personnel.
- Regularly prepare and cook meals, catering to special guests or events.
- Manage food requisition and kitchen supply orders.
- Coordinate equipment purchases and maintenance.
- Plan menus that adhere to quality standards and customer preferences.
- Prepare dishes accommodating food allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and safety protocols.
Oversee a team of approximately 3-4 kitchen staff members.
Work Environment- Fast-paced and dynamic kitchen setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Physical demands include handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Requires attention to detail and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Dependable and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrates flexibility and initiative.
- Highly organized and a collaborative team player.
Candidates should possess 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a culinary environment.
This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 35 hours per week.
