About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary School Counsellor to join our team at School District #42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows). As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counselling services to students, addressing a range of issues including academic, social, and emotional concerns.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based programmes to promote student well-being and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in school counselling and make recommendations for programme development and improvement.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counselling or a related field.
  • BC Certification as a School Counsellor.
  • Proven experience in school counselling, preferably in an elementary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
