We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op student to join our Electro Mechanical Systems team at Magna's Mechatronics Technical Center. As a Co-op Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the design, development, and testing of Mechatronics products for the automotive industry.
Responsibilities- Assist in the design, development, and testing of Mechatronics products, including components, sub-assemblies, and systems.
- Support the development of engineering specifications, documentation, and deliverables, including DVP&R's, 8D's, GD&T, BOM, prototype control plans, and key product characteristics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and manufacturing, to ensure successful product development and delivery.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Support the development of CAE activities, including hand calculations and simulations.
- Communicate effectively with the project team, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing and quality communities.
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Basic competency in CAD and proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Developing communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines.
