Boulangerie Première Moisson is dedicated to crafting and distributing bakery, pastry, and charcuterie items with a focus on artisanal methods and high-quality ingredients. Our team comprises over 1,200 professionals across more than 20 locations in Quebec and Ontario.

We are seeking a Pastry Chef to enhance our culinary team.

Position Type: Permanent - Full-time

Work Schedule: Day shift - Monday to Friday - 7am to 3:30pm

Compensation: $20.60/hour - After 3 months: $21.63/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare various doughs, creams, fillings, cakes, entremets, chocolates, and other products following Boulangerie Première Moisson's recipes and production standards
  • Mix ingredients according to established guidelines
  • Manage inventory of raw materials effectively
  • Adhere to quality, hygiene, sanitation, and occupational health and safety protocols set by the company
  • Utilize SAP software to confirm recipes
  • Assist the team in assembling entremets as needed
  • Lift weights up to 25 kg for specific tasks
  • Guide junior pastry staff in their responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with fellow pastry chefs and assistants
  • Keep management informed of any issues or conflicts
  • Support production in line with food safety regulations and certifications
  • Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in production
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Occupational Health and Safety policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a DEP in pastry-making
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in pastry-making techniques
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to product quality, results, and teamwork
  • Efficient execution of tasks
  • Strong organizational abilities
