Boston Scientific is poised for several significant product launches in the U.S. aimed at treating patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib), including Cryo, Radiofrequency, and Pulsed Field ablation therapies.
Currently, we provide advanced technologies such as 3D Mapping and Navigation systems, Radiofrequency Ablation catheters, Diagnostic Catheters, EP recording systems, and Intracardiac Access Sheaths for diagnosing and managing heart rhythm disorders.
The EP Mapping Specialist will dedicate their initial year to mastering Boston Scientific technologies while engaging in comprehensive professional development to ensure preparedness for success in this hands-on, field-oriented position.
Upon completion of training, the EP Mapping Specialist will deliver expert clinical product and technical support, as well as training to physicians, EP Lab Staff, and sales representatives on the effective and safe application of the Rhythmia Mapping System during case procedures within a designated territory, aiming to meet and surpass business objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending procedures in cardiac CV/EP labs of hospital accounts for clinical support and development efforts of BSC AF Solutions products, including Rhythmia HDx mapping system, LabSystem Pro recording system, transeptal access products, diagnostic and therapeutic catheters, and WATCHMAN LAAC technologies.
- Building relationships with hospital personnel at all levels, including staff, physicians, and administrators, to establish new contacts in various departments and identify key decision-makers to facilitate future sales.
- Addressing customer needs and concerns regarding products and services by developing innovative and practical solutions or collaborating with relevant personnel to devise optimal responses.
- Exhibiting effective change leadership and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance the area/organization by leveraging relationships with peers, management, and across the AF Solutions organization.
- Implementing and overseeing strategies outlined in the quarterly action plan for the area.
- Training on and maintaining knowledge of clinical trial protocols, Clinical Department standard operating procedures, and compliance with regulations from global regulatory bodies to meet corporate and departmental objectives.
- Managing clinical trial activities within the assigned territory, which includes but is not limited to conducting Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology, or equivalent education and experience.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and the ability to articulate and clarify complex technical product information.
- Experience in Atrial Fibrillation/Cardiac Mapping/Structural Heart Procedures.
- Familiarity with 3D cardiac mapping systems.
- Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substance testing requirements for safety-sensitive positions. This role is classified as safety-sensitive, and candidates will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement.
