Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Blowers & Grafton (Shawnessy) Inc. as a key member of our food service team.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
- Portion and wrap foods for serving.
- Package take-out food for customers.
- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Scour pots and pans to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Inventory Management
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Customer Service
- Take customers' orders in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Teamwork and Communication
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient food service operation.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
The Kitchen Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing, walking, and lifting. The ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads is essential.
Requirements- Education and Experience
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
- Will train on the job.
- Language
- English is the primary language of communication.
- Work Conditions
- Permanent position with 30-40 hours per week.
