Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Tertiary Mental Health team at Joseph & Rosalie & Family Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical education programs to support staff in providing high-quality patient care.
- Assess individual and group learning needs and create personalized growth plans.
- Collaborate with program and team members to promote continuous quality improvement and resolve clinical education issues.
- Provide leadership and work direction to ensure effective implementation of educational programs.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three years of recent, related nursing experience in a clinical specialty, including one year of recent, related simulation teaching experience and group facilitation.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for local area travel may be required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client and family-centered model of care.
- Broad knowledge of BCCNM Standards for Nursing/Psychiatric Nursing Practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of adult education principles, methods, and tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of other health disciplines and their role in patient/client care.
