About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Halifax Tower Hotel Ltd. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, stock linen closet, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators, pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Security and Safety: Pass a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, maintain attention to detail, bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
