Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Part-Time Cook to join our team at the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, BC.

About the Role:

As a Part-Time Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a timely and efficient manner. You will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Maintain accurate food inventories and properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotate stock items as per established procedures and restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications, and adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a full-service restaurant is considered an asset
  • FOODSAFE Level 1 certification is required
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures and a commitment to a SAFE working environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain a strong work ethic
  • Must have open availability, including day and evening shifts
