Position Overview

The role of an advanced audio visual technician involves supporting Proshow's technical functions across various venues in Western Canada. This position requires leading a team of technicians while assisting in the setup, operation, and dismantling of audio visual equipment for diverse events. The primary objective is to deliver exceptional experiences to our clients, ensuring that every aspect from load-in to load-out is executed flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout all phases of event execution.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail in all technical setups.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including long hours as needed.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and removal of audio, video, lighting, staging, and related equipment at live event sites.
  • Troubleshoot and repair audio visual systems on-site as necessary.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of video systems, including but not limited to, Panasonic switching, Barco Event Master, and various projection technologies.
  • Design and support LED video wall components tailored for live events.
  • Demonstrate expertise in audio systems, including Yamaha, DigiCo, and Midas mixing consoles.
  • Manage audio recording and mixing tasks effectively.
  • Supervise and coordinate with staff and subcontractors on job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with Proshow's standards of safety, professionalism, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of audio visual equipment and services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in computer networking and design for live events.
  • Experience with audio software tools and systems.
  • Dante Certification at a minimum of Level 3.

Schedule

This position involves 8-hour shifts with potential for overtime, including daytime, evening, and weekend work as required.
