The Migration Strategist serves a pivotal role as both a technical and strategic collaborator, overseeing the transition and integration to Cloud solutions. This position requires close collaboration with development teams to comprehend their workflows and requirements, while leading the management of migration strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and adhering to regulatory and internal compliance standards.

  • Formulates and implements comprehensive migration strategies and timelines, taking into account project constraints, resource needs, and potential risks to minimize disruption and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborates with project teams, including both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Supervises the migration roadmap, addressing key business and technical challenges that may affect the migration strategy and adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Tracks and evaluates progress to guarantee that migration phases are completed on schedule and within budget, meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Conducts readiness assessments, milestone evaluations, and business decision reviews.
  • Engages with business units to establish and monitor project scope, activating change requests as necessary.
  • Delivers regular and transparent updates to stakeholders, highlighting accomplishments, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintains thorough project documentation, including plans, status reports, and other essential artifacts.

  • Assists in crafting project management and change management plans that encompass all business, technology, and operational facets of the project.

What qualifications will help you excel in this role?

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in IT Project Management and relevant industry experience.
  • Certifications in PMP, Process Improvement, Change Management, and Agile methodologies are advantageous.
  • A highly motivated migration leader capable of driving delivery in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in program and project management practices, possessing both business and technical insight.
  • Exceptional communication and coordination skills, with a proven ability to manage relationships with external partners.
  • A proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to resolving technical challenges.
  • Preferred experience working with vendors to transition applications from on-premises to cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies is an asset.
