Job Overview:

The Fort McMurray First Nation Group of Companies is looking for a proactive and safety-oriented individual to assist in managing the daily functions of the Petro Canada Station. The Lead Cashier Supervisor will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations while maintaining a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all cashier personnel are properly positioned and adhere to operational guidelines.
  • Address conflicts and make informed decisions while fostering a motivated and organized team.
  • Guarantee compliance with store policies and relevant legislation among all staff.
  • Supervise cashier activities to ensure outstanding customer service delivery.
  • Oversee cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate receipts and change handling.
  • Delegate tasks to cashiers and monitor the quality of their performance.
  • Coordinate work schedules for station attendants and provide them with essential information regarding daily operations.
  • Be available to work weekends and/or evenings as required.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in daily documentation.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of products and services offered.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of team members.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and staff to enhance store sales and visibility.
  • Assist with cashier responsibilities and undertake additional tasks as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • 7 days on, 7 days off; 9-hour shifts (5:00 am to 2:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm).
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs; regular lifting of items up to 35 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting, squatting, and bending.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of customer service experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Successful completion of an A&D test.
  • Clean and current driver's abstract.
  • Food Safe Handling certification.

Training will be provided for this position. Candidates from Fort McMurray may qualify for a travel allowance.
