Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professor of Urban Studies. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of urban studies, with a focus on urban planning, organization, development, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver courses on urban planning, organization, development, and sustainability
  • Conduct research and publish scholarly articles on topics related to urban studies
  • Supervise graduate students and provide guidance on their research projects
  • Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a strong background in urban planning, organization, development, and sustainability. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students in urban studies
  • Publication record in reputable academic journals
  • Experience in supervising graduate students
  • Fluency in French and/or English
