About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at Gemstar Security Service Ltd. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our security team and ensuring the highest level of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Response: Be the point of contact for emergency situations and handle them in a professional and timely manner.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit progress reports to management.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of workers, and possibly review their performance.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Office and Volunteer Staff Supervision: Supervise office and volunteer staff.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules and procedures.
Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people.

Certifications and Licenses

You must hold a Provincial/Territorial Security Officer Certificate.

Work Environment

You will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, and will be required to work under pressure.

Work Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week, with English as the primary language of communication.
