Job Title: Quality Senior Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze data to identify quality-related issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Plan and lead projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality plans and procedures.
  • Ensure products meet established requirements and standards through audits, inspections, and testing.
  • Interact with suppliers and external experts to implement quality goals and objectives.
Impact and Expectations:
  • Evaluate process methods and equipment to meet performance and quality requirements.
  • Establish quality plans for equipment and processes to meet specific product performance needs.
  • Monitor process performance to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Apply ISO and QSR requirements to processes and procedures for Zimmer and external suppliers.
  • Assist manufacturing, sourcing, and development teams in interpreting and applying regulations.
  • Develop and maintain department and project budgets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Certification as a quality engineer (e.g., CQE) or the Reliability Engineer Certification (CRE) granted through the American Society of Quality (ASQ) is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a quality engineering role, with a medical device background strongly preferred.
Travel Expectations:
  • Up to 20% travel.
  • Up to 50% travel for employees working with suppliers.
