Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Close Observation Unit. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Recent critical care experience.
- Critical Care Certificate preferred.
- Telemetry experience.
- Intravenous initiation and maintenance skills.
- Completion of Coronary Care 1 or equivalent.
- Patient Assessment skills.
- Familiarity with online documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong functional assessment, problem-solving, leadership, and teaching skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
Monday to Sunday, various rotating 12-hour shifts, days and nights. Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.
Compensation$ to $ per hour.
