Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Site Laborer to support various tasks on our construction projects. This role involves physical labor and teamwork to ensure that all construction activities are carried out efficiently and safely.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Primarily outdoors
  • May be exposed to noisy and dusty conditions
Work Setting

The position is based at various construction sites where you will collaborate with other laborers and tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials as needed.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting operations on-site.
  • Level earth to meet specified grade requirements.
  • Support demolition activities as required.
  • Clean and organize salvaged materials for reuse.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure site safety.
  • Manage cleanup of chemical spills and other hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements
  • This role is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads.
  • Must be able to lift weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Safety Equipment

Employees are required to provide their own safety equipment, including:

  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Safety glasses or goggles
  • Protective gloves
  • Ear plugs
Work Conditions

This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The primary language of communication is English.
