About the Role

This is a full-time position within the Data Discovery and Enrichment Organization at LexisNexis Canada Inc. Company. As a Senior Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert, you will leverage your expertise in the legal domain to create advanced insights and recommendations from complex tasks that are critical to creating the best features and products for our customers.

About the Data Discovery and Enrichment Organization

Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts are subject matter experts in the legal domain, playing a key role in leading the transformation of legal technology. They partner with data scientists, data engineers, and product managers to create cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions with legal data.

Responsibilities
  • Performing advanced legal research and analysis to drive business decisions
  • Communicating actionable feedback and insights to stakeholders
  • Executing best practices in the creation and maintenance of training data and relevance evaluations
  • Collaborating with internal partners across various roles to drive project success
  • Coaching and supporting junior Data Discovery and Enrichment Experts
  • Participating in presentations to internal stakeholders to drive business outcomes
  • Advocating for Responsible AI practices
Requirements
  • Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree
  • Be bilingual, with fluent English and French language reading and writing skills
  • Have advanced professional legal experience
  • Be competent in advanced legal research and writing
  • Have experience in coaching and mentoring others
  • Be a natural problem solver
  • Have a customer-centric mindset
  • Be able to lead complex projects
  • Have an intermediate understanding of machine learning and natural language processing technologies
  • Have significant experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and other similar programs
  • Have in-depth knowledge or understanding of agile and lean methodologies
