About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at 427 QEW KIA. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and diagnose issues with vehicle systems.
  • Repair and Replace Parts: Perform repairs and replacements of parts and components, ensuring that all work is done to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure that they are functioning properly and meet manufacturer's specifications.
  • Estimate Parts and Labour Costs: Estimate the cost of parts and labour required to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service: Perform routine maintenance services on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other scheduled services.
  • Advise Customers: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Complete Reports: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Coach and Instruct Apprentices: Coach and instruct apprentices in the skills and techniques required to perform automotive repairs and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
