About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at Framestore. As a key member of our Systems Canada L2 team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the reliability and responsiveness of our systems, addressing service outages and complex systems-related problems.
  • Design and implement complex systems, optimizing performance and efficiency.
  • Support both on-premise and remote systems, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Actively mentor and assist in the technical development of the L1 team, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, providing out-of-hours support for critical issues.
Requirements
  • Proven experience with Linux RedHat OS for workstations and servers.
  • Strong understanding of storage concepts, including RAID levels, fiber channel, and SAS.
  • Excellent scripting skills in Shell, Python, or Perl.
  • A pragmatic approach to project delivery, training, and documentation on Jira/Confluence.
  • Strong self-guided problem-solving skills and good communication skills with various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with source control systems like Gitlab, Perforce, or others.
  • Support for storage solutions and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN support and cloud platforms like AWS, Google, and Azure.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware and Proxmox.
  • Familiarity with VFX post-production concepts and software like Maya, Nuke, and Houdini.
