Your Role as a Home Health Care Aide

As a Home Health Care Aide (HCA), you will play a vital role in supporting individuals within their homes, assisting them with daily tasks and promoting their well-being. You will be responsible for providing personalized care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

What You Will Do:
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a sense of connection and well-being.
  • Assist with personal hygiene care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with mealtimes, promoting healthy eating habits and social interaction.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment for patients.
  • Travel between patient residences within your designated area, providing consistent and reliable care.

Your Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from a HCA program recognized and approved by the Government of Alberta.
  • A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to individuals in their homes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with patients and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to visit patient residences within your designated area.
  • Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hire.
