About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data and Analytics Solutions Engineer to join our team at Allergan. As a key member of our Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team, you will play a critical role in driving the digital transformation of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration: Design, implement, and maintain database management systems, including database architecture, installation, and technical support.
  • Data Integration: Develop and implement data integration solutions using ETL tools, such as Informatica, to extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into a new database environment.
  • Database Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure optimal database performance and scalability.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to less experienced DBAs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures, as well as adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in database administration, data integration, and technical leadership.
  • Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, PowerBI, QlikView, Qliksense, and Dataiku, as well as experience with ETL tools and database management systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and consultative skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and other IT management and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Life Sciences Domain: Experience working in the life sciences industry, with knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Cloud-Based Data Warehousing: Experience with modern cloud-based data warehouse solutions, such as AWS Redshift, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
  • Microsoft Power Platform: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including PowerQuery, Power Automate, and Dataiku.
  • SDLC Processes and Agile Delivery: Experience with SDLC processes and Agile delivery, using Jira to manage product delivery in iterative sprints.
