About the Role

Vantix Systems Inc is seeking an experienced Application Architect to lead the definition and management of the application architecture domain. The successful candidate will ensure that both functional and strategic objectives are met, with a focus on implementing the application architecture to produce measurable benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain system design and Enterprise Architecture models in multiple architecture domains, including Business, Application, Data, Technology, and Security.
  • Lead solution architecture and introduce the overall technical vision for large-scale Enterprise projects with integrations between systems.
  • Plan, design, implement, and support platform solutions in a large and complex enterprise environment.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Work with enterprise architectures and associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, policies, and processes.
  • Design or maintain solutions that use the development stack and derivative technologies (Microsoft.Net, Java, Python, etc.) within a large and complex organization.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in developing and maintaining system design and Enterprise Architecture models.
  • 6+ years of experience in leading solution architecture and introducing the overall technical vision for large-scale Enterprise projects.
  • 8+ years of experience in planning, designing, implementing, and supporting platform solutions in a large and complex enterprise environment.
  • 6+ years of experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
  • 6+ years of experience working as an application architect in a large and complex enterprise IT environment.
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience and technical knowledge of application programming design patterns.
  • Experience in contributing or developing application architecture standards and guidelines.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting application framework in a large and complex enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience providing leadership, planning, estimating, and presentations of ideas and solutions.
  • Experience with cloud-native software development.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Gartner or Zachman).
  • Experience working with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top Ten Web Application Security Flaws.
Work Environment

6 months with 1 possible 6-month extension.

Hourly Rate

Negotiable.
