About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Laborer to join our team at BAWA Construction Inc. as a Site Assistant. This is a permanent position that requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure a stable working surface.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work outdoors, at heights, underground, and in confined spaces. You will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and may be exposed to hazardous materials.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to work in a repetitive task environment.
  • Own vehicle for transportation to and from work sites.
Language and Work Conditions

This role requires fluency in English and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work 40 hours per week and may be required to work overtime.
