Apprentice Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Electrician to join our team at AA Electrical Services Inc. as an Electrician Assistant. In this role, you will assist experienced electricians in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the installation of underground wiring and cables, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
- Electrical Work: Splice, join, and connect wires, and design and construct low-voltage multiphase services for single or multi-meter installations.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to identify and isolate electrical issues.
- Supervision: Supervise other workers and ensure that all electrical work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Renovation and Repair: Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, and repair or replace faulty equipment.
- Documentation and Communication: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Physical Demands: The role requires handling heavy loads and working in physically demanding environments.
- Attention to Detail: You must have attention to detail and be able to work accurately and efficiently.
- Flexibility: You must be flexible and able to adapt to changing work schedules and priorities.
- Judgement: You must have good judgement and be able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced work environment.
- Work Term: This is a permanent position with a regular 35-hour workweek.
- Work Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
