Job Title: Casual Companion

We are seeking a part-time home care aide to provide personal care to a senior male who needs help with his morning routine. This would be in part to help his wife, who is his primary caregiver, so that she does not have to do it all herself.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with brushing, showering, and personal hygiene
  • Help with light exercise as part of the morning routine
  • Provide companionship and socialization
  • Assist with food preparation when included on the Aide Care Plan
Requirements:
  • Be eighteen (18) years of age
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, follow a written Aide Care Plan, and document tasks performed
  • Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate dependability, tact, patience, and the ability to follow instructions
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to show compassion and empathy toward the elderly, sick, and disabled
  • Ideally, the caregiver should be able to speak Hindi, Punjabi, and English
