Your Responsibilities
  • Receive service requests from the Service Resource Center, including a brief overview of equipment/system issues.
  • Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems.
  • Diagnose issues and perform maintenance and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at client locations.
  • Adhere to established troubleshooting protocols and consult technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins to repair equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Communicate with customer representatives to identify equipment/system challenges.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by consistently engaging with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding through communication devices, such as smartphones and laptops.
  • Obtain customer signatures upon completion of service assignments.
  • Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation.
  • Assist in training or mentoring fellow service team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We SeekRequired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in low-voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems.
  • A valid CFAA or ASTTBC Fire Alarm Certificate is advantageous.
  • Experience in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and operational/product manuals.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capability to move equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
