Auberge du Pommier, a renowned hospitality group, is seeking a skilled Grab & Go Attendant/Barista to join our team at Queen's Cross Food Hall, located within the CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Our vision is to create a unique culinary experience that showcases the diversity and vibrancy of downtown Toronto.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to provide exceptional service to our guests. As a Grab & Go Attendant/Barista, you will be responsible for preparing food and beverages, serving guests, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to our service standards
- Answer questions and make recommendations on food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services
- Prepare cold and hot beverages to our high standards
- Ensure accuracy when entering information into our point-of-sale system
- Monitor food quality and presentation standards
- Ensure guests are satisfied with their food and service
- Respond promptly and courteously to any guest request or concern
- Monitor the cleanliness of the grab & go area and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
- Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing grab & go products
- Be aware of any special requests, including guest allergies
- Complete opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and safely
- Follow all food safety standards and systems
- Other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
- Prior barista experience is desirable
- High attention to detail and cleanliness
- Passionate about customer service
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills and sales ability
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to engage our guests
- Experience in a similar environment is an asset
