Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to lead our major projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, and cost reporting. This is a full-time position within our international group, offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the project team, ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  2. Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, budgeting, and cost reporting.
  3. Team Management: Manage and develop a team of project managers, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standard.
  4. Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including regular communication and reporting.
  5. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including developing and maintaining relationships with potential clients.
  6. Process Improvement: Continuously improve project management processes and procedures to ensure that they are efficient and effective.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as civil engineering, construction management, or project management.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a heavy civil major project environment, including a thorough knowledge of construction industry practices, methods, processes, and standards.
  3. Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Certifications: Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional certification is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
  1. Work Environment: Work will be performed in a fast-paced office environment, with frequent travel to project sites.
  2. Travel: Frequent travel to project sites, including overnight stays, is required.
  3. Physical Demands: The ability to work in a variety of environments, including outdoor construction sites, is required.
