Quality Control Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Analyst to join our team in London. As a Quality Control Analyst, you will be responsible for performing quality checks on a broad range of money laundering investigations, evaluating ML/TF risk, and keeping abreast of emerging issues and trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality checks on money laundering investigations
  • Evaluate ML/TF risk and conduct quality checks on cases
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues and trends in AML/ATF
  • Recognize and evaluate accounts and activity, and effectively document recommendations
  • Provide trend analysis of AML/ATF findings and gaps to management for review
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control
  • Manage ambiguity and apply judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve ongoing business and operational issues
  • Assist the QC function with developing and maintaining written policies, procedures, and programs/frameworks
  • Prioritize and manage workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in a quality control function
  • Work independently with minimal supervision within a team environment
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant AML or financial crime-related roles
  • Knowledge of FINTRAC guidelines, PCMLTFA/R, and FATF recommendations
  • Proficient with FINTRAC guidelines
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CAMS certification
  • CFCS certification
  • Experience working with Refinitiv/Lexus Nexus/Dow Jones, and Actimize technology solutions
  • Experience in QC'ing Suspicious Transaction Reports or/and other regulatory reports
